Ticketing rules
I. Basic Terms and Definitions
1 Bus - a vehicle used by the Carrier to carry Passengers on established routes of regular service and on other chartered routes offered by Carriers.
2. Passenger - a person who has purchased a ticket for the Bus on the website www.eurolines.lt, and who uses the Bus to travel on the selected route, as well as other services provided by the Carrier.
3 Ticket - a document confirming the contract of passenger transportation between the Passenger and the Carrier, which shall be sent to the Passenger to the e-mail address specified by the Passenger or given to the Passenger for safekeeping after the Passenger has ordered and paid for the bus ticket at the baltbus.lt website
4. Ticket distributor means MB BALTBUS which administers the baltbus.lt website and serves as an intermediary for ticket sales between the Passenger and the Carrier.
5. Carrier - a legally registered company which has the right to carry passengers, goods and luggage. The information about which Carrier will carry the Passengers is indicated on the website when purchasing a Ticket and on the Ticket purchased by the Passenger.
6. Ticketing Rules or Rules are the present Ticketing Rules which set forth the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the parties in respect of the Passenger's purchase of a Ticket. The rules do not include or regulate the conditions and rules of passenger carriage applied by a particular Carrier.
7. Website - MB BALTBUS, which contains information for Passengers on bus transportation, the conditions of transportation applicable to Passengers, the purchase of Tickets, as well as other information relating to passenger transportation.
8. Privacy Policy - regulations on protection of personal data applied by the Ticket Distributor, which are applied on the baltbus.lt website when purchasing the Tickets and which are considered to be an integral part of the present Regulations.
II. GENERAL PROVISIONS
9. These Ticket Purchase Regulations set the conditions for purchase and use of Passenger Tickets when the Passenger purchases the Tickets on the baltbus.lt website.
10. The present Regulations are an integral part of the Ticket purchased by the Passenger and govern the contractual obligations of the Passenger and the Ticket Distributor.
11. Prior to purchasing a Ticket, the Passenger must read the Rules which are publicly available on the baltbus.lt website and are provided to the Passenger for inspection prior to the purchase of the Ticket. Having read the Rules, the Passenger checks a box in the electronic Ticket purchase form against the reference "I have read the rules of Ticket purchase.
III. PROCEDURE FOR TICKET PURCHASE, USE AND REFUND
12. The Tickets can be purchased on the baltbus.lt website:
- Without registering in the system, i.e. without creating a user account, receive the Tickets to the e-mail address indicated by the Passenger.
13. Each Passenger, before purchasing Tickets, should enter all the requested personal information (first name, last name and e-mail address) and confirm his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal data for the purposes of the proper provision of the Ticketing service and performance of the contractual obligations between the Passenger and the Ticket Distributor. If the Passenger does not consent to the processing of his/her data for the purposes of the sale of Tickets and related services, he/she cannot purchase a Ticket online.
14. Purchased Tickets are generated after the Passenger makes the payment. Tickets can be saved and printed directly from the system or received by e-mail.
15. The Passenger has to pay for the chosen Tickets within 30 minutes from the moment the "Buy" button is pressed. If the payment is not made within the specified period, the Ticket selected by the Passenger will not be stored and reserved.
16. The Ticket purchase service is deemed to be properly provided by the Ticket Distributor from the moment the Passenger is able to print or save the purchased Ticket.
17. The Ticket Distributor is not responsible for inaccurate or unreliable information about the Customer which the Customer provides when registering, ordering and paying for the Tickets or for the consequences arising therefrom, for example if the Passenger does not receive the Ticket due to the incorrect e-mail address provided.
18. The Ticket can only be used once, and can only be ridden with the Carrier indicated on the Ticket, on the date and time indicated. The Passenger may not allow others to copy his Ticket, nor may he copy or reproduce it by other means. In case the Ticket has been copied, the right to travel by Bus is granted to the person who first presents the Ticket to the Bus Driver, responsible for control and validation of Tickets. Copying the Ticket is strictly prohibited. Persons violating or attempting to violate this prohibition will be held liable in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Latvia. 19.
19. Ticket with a compensated state
The Passenger may purchase a Ticket with a state refundable discount (or compensation) only if the Passenger has a valid document (legal basis) that provides entitlement to a discounted fare. If the Passenger has purchased a Ticket at a discount, but does not show the original of a valid document proving the right to travel at a discount to the bus driver responsible for control and validation of Tickets, the Passenger cannot use the Ticket at a discount and cannot pay the difference to the full Ticket price.
20. The passenger can change the Ticket's date and time, if such change is technically possible (there are vacant seats, etc.), and the system allows to do it.
21. Tickets are refundable only under the following conditions:
21.1 If the Passenger cancels the journey no later than 30 minutes before the departure time indicated on the Ticket, 80% of the Ticket price will be refunded.
22. Money for the returned Tickets are transferred to the account of the Buyer of the Tickets, from which the payment was made, within 7 (seven) working days.
23. 23. The tickets, bought under the special offer or marked with the "Promo" mark, are not subject to replacement and return.
IV. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE PASSENGER
24. Before acting to purchase a Ticket on the website, the Passenger must carefully read these Rules, make sure that the conditions of the purchase of Tickets are clear and acceptable to him, and only then make the payment for the Ticket.
25. When purchasing a Ticket, the Passenger must correctly specify the personal and other information required for the purchase of the Ticket, as well as correctly choose the discount to be applied (if any).
26. The payment for the Ticket must be made within 30 minutes from the moment of going to the internet banking page of the Ticket buyer.
27. The passenger is obliged to print out or otherwise save (e.g. on a smartphone or tablet) the Ticket, present it to the driver or the controller (controlling official) checking the Tickets, and keep it for the entire journey.
28. In case the Ticket was purchased with a discount Passenger is obligated to present the original document granting the right for a discount together with the Ticket.
VI. LIABILITY OF THE PARTIES
29. Each party is responsible for compliance with these rules.
30. 30. In cases not stipulated by the present Rules the party through whose fault the losses were incurred, is obliged to compensate to the injured party the losses or damages incurred in the order established by the law.
VII. INFORMING THE PASSENGER AND USING PERSONAL INFORMATION
31. On familiarization with these Rules, Passengers are informed that the personal data they provide will be used to purchase Tickets (implementation of the contractual relationship between the parties).
32. When purchasing a Ticket, the Passenger may be asked to consent to the use of his/her personal data for informing him/her in the future and for direct marketing.
VIII. OTHER PROVISIONS
33. The laws of the Republic of Lithuania shall apply to these Rules. 34.
34. All disputes arising from the implementation of the present Rules shall be solved by negotiations. If the agreement cannot be reached, the disagreement shall be resolved in accordance with the procedure established by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
